Senior Project Buyer
Main task
Within a multidisciplinary project team, Senior Project Buyer is responsible for Purchasing of products, equipment, works and services in accordance with the procedures and the company policy.
Responsibilities:
- Source, Build,maintain and manage supplier relationships and ensure good communications.
- Follow the procurement activities from sourcing to contract
- Prepares and issue inquires/RFQ to the selected vendors/contractors, using available ERP/IT systems
- Controls the commercial aspects of all project purchase orders until delivery on site of all contracts.
- Communicates with reports to the Project Manager for project execution matters such as progress of the work, ITB's outstanding matters, etc
- Evaluates the commercial parts of the vendors’ bids (Reliability, shop workload, pricing, delivery times, payment and delivery conditions...).
- Handle the negotiations of deviations/exclusions to the terms and conditions in collaboration with legal department
- Negotiates the best purchase order/Contract conditions with the selected vendor
- Places the Purchase Order and prepare the Contract in a timely manner and in accordance with specific project requirements
- Ensures that the inquiry and other procurement documents are up-to-date and Archives all the ITB's documents
- Ensures that approved changes are covered by amendments to the original purchase order.
- Executes and coordinates vendor / contractor performance assessments in coordination with his team members.
- Supports the procurement team in undertaking due diligence of suppliers and ensures that new suppliers are recorded and registered on business systems
- Demonstrates the highest integrity and ethical values in dealing with clients, suppliers, and colleagues and fosters fair, ethical and legal purchasing practices.
- Organizes and follows Lessons learned, ratios to measure the purchase performance on the project.
- Performs the appropriate reporting using the Procurement IT tools, JMMS, ARIBA, SAP
Profile required:
- Master: Sciences, finances, or Art
- A total experience of at least 8 years is necessary for this position, including 5 years in a similar role within the framework of multidisciplinary projects of international scope.
- Be rigorous and possess good communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory to fill this position.
- This job is open to qualified people from all over the world who want to move to the south of Morocco to work.
