Main task

The purpose of this role is to work on one or several small to medium projects, with minimal supervision, and typically report directly to the Project Manager, the Project Controls Manager, or a more senior Cost Engineer. The Cost Engineer utilizes established systems and procedures to oversee all or part of the project's cost control function, which includes establishing budgets, tracking commitments and expenditures, forecasting, and preparing analyses and reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist during work-hour and staff forecasting with input from leads and Project Managers on various projects.
• Participate in Earned Value data analysis and reporting across different projects.
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of cost reports across various projects.
• Participate in cash flow development, analysis, and reporting across different projects.
• Assist in conducting special cost studies and prepare analyses across various projects.
• Assist in forecasting the estimate to complete based on an independent analysis of progress, productivity, work remaining, and current commitments.
• Aid in the preparation of Margin Analysis and contingency plans.
