As a Senior Legal Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the growth of the Expansion & Affiliation division within a leading retail group. Curious to learn more? Keep reading!
Your Responsibilities:
- You will serve as a strategic partner to internal departments such as Real Estate, Expansion, Affiliation, and Technical teams, supporting their development.
- You will assist in the negotiation of affiliation agreements, real estate contracts, and other related commercial agreements, as well as handle disputes, mediations, and amicable settlements.
- You will help negotiate long-term strategic partnership agreements with key suppliers and stakeholders, also supporting conflict resolution when needed.
- You will build strong, long-term relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- You will translate legal concepts into practical advice that delivers real value to the business.
- You will provide tailored legal counsel and creative, business-oriented solutions.
- You will proactively track legal developments and assess their potential impact, ensuring relevant teams are informed and trained as needed.
- You’ll connect legal knowledge with operational understanding to identify innovative alternatives, prioritize work, and influence decision-making.
- You will contribute to multidisciplinary teams on various projects, offering legal support throughout business negotiations.
Your Profile:
- You hold a Master’s degree in Law.
- You have at least 5 years of relevant legal experience, with expertise in drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial and real estate contracts. Experience in franchising and/or real estate is a plus.
- You have interest or experience in areas such as competition law and food law.
- You are bilingual in French and Dutch, with a strong command of English.
- You are eager to develop your understanding of the business and its operations.
- You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and can influence and negotiate effectively at all levels.
- You are well-organized, capable of managing priorities and working under pressure.
- You are solution-oriented, pragmatic, and comfortable making tough decisions.
- You are a team player with a good sense of humor.
