BI Consultant
- Identify and assess the reporting needs of assigned departments to ensure a clear understanding of their requirements.
- Evaluate existing data and determine how new reporting needs can be met.
- Collaborate with squad members to develop data products that are accurate, relevant, timely, technically feasible, and user-friendly.
- Create high-quality data visualizations in Tableau, ensuring efficient and insightful visual representations.
- Guide and train end users on implementing reporting tools and interpreting data for smooth and correct usage.
- Showcase complete dashboard implementations following visual best practices.
- Optimize reporting tools and adapt them to business changes to meet current and future needs.
- Develop relevant KPIs and business reporting for departments unfamiliar with these practices, providing optimal support.
- Detail specifications, documentation, and acceptance criteria for requests to be used by data engineers or other BI analysts.
- Optionally handle technical administration of Tableau (licensing, security setup, upgrades, R&D, etc.).
- Stay informed of developments in business reporting and related fields to provide updated and credible services.
Your Profile:
- Advanced degree in a technical discipline
- Minimum 2 years of related experience
- Fluent in English and either Dutch or French
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL
- Expertise with PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlikview
- Knowledge of data warehouse modeling
- Proven ability to create effective and user-friendly dashboards
- Experience with cloud environments, particularly Azure, is a plus
