Our client is looking for a new Legal Counsel. In their legal department, they are looking for new legal counsel to work on a new and exciting project.


The job :


  • Advise on complex contracts and structures in areas such as trade finance, real estate and government grants.
  • Create and update loan and guarantee documents.
  • Draft model contracts.
  • Maintain regular contact with internal and external clients, including lawyers and government authorities.
  • Manage legal disputes, often in collaboration with external advisors.
  • Keep abreast of legal and regulatory developments.
  • Apply internal policies and participate in working groups within ING and external organizations.
  • Identify and manage legal risks.
Profielbeschrijving
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Master degree in Belgian Law
  • French or Dutch speaking with a good knowledge of English.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to work independently and in teams
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work under deadlines

Bij Gentis staat elk individu centraal; we vinden de perfecte match, keer op keer."Voor onze afdeling Logistiek & Supply Chain zoeken we een ervaren Customs Compliance Manager:Bijdragen aan de ontwikkeling en het geven van douanetrainingen, evenals het opstellen en onderhouden van procedures met betrekking tot douane en accijnzen.Fungeren als eerste aanspreekpunt voor douanevragen die niet door onze operationele douanemedewerkers kunnen worden beantwoord.Actief bijdragen aan de implementatie van douaneoplossingen voor nieuwe klanten en het verlenen van projectmatige ondersteuning voor douaneactiviteiten en processen.Ondersteuning bieden bij verzoeken om rectificatie, teruggave of bijbetaling, en het afhandelen van bezwaar- en beroepsprocedures indien nodig.Het proactief identificeren en implementeren van verbeteringen binnen onze douaneactiviteiten om efficiëntie en naleving te waarborgen.Het uitvoeren van audits, zowel intern als extern, volgens de richtlijnen van ons managementteam voor de Benelux. Deze audits worden vaak uitgevoerd op verschillende locaties binnen ons netwerk.

PSD2 is compulsory knowledge.- Integrate the principles of compliance into the company's culture and establish guidelines for compliance with regulations.- Monitoring new legislation and regulations and their interpretation in the area of compliance. Keep informed of the latest regulatory evolutions in the countries where the company operates.- Ensuring that the rules defined by the operational departments comply with the legal and/or regulatory rules of integrity and conduct that apply to the institution.- Advising management, operational departments, and business partners on the practical application of the laws, regulations, standards, and codes that fall within its remit, including communicating developments in this area.- Advising on the development of compliance policies and their ongoing updating, as well as measures to control compliance risks.- Participating in deliberations on change requests for products, services, and markets, focusing on the identification, documentation, and assessment of the applicable compliance risks.- Evaluating the company’s compliance procedures, controls, and directives, identifying any shortcomings and proposing changes where necessary.- Developing quality improvement initiatives and initiating organizational changes to ensure compliance with internal rules and business expectations in terms of good governance.- Participating in the drawing up of the compliance action plan, describing in sufficient detail the nature and frequency of the assignments that the compliance function will carry out over a specified period. The plan is based on a methodical risk analysis, the principles of which are set out in writing and assessed at regular intervals.- Further deploying the GDPR map – Data Correspondent.- Monitoring and reporting on Compliance MIS and KPI.- Monitoring the compliance risk levels, developing, deploying, and operating controls necessary for the effective management of risk mitigation measures.- Regularly maintaining the company’s Compliance Risk Register, clearly identifying each risk together with its rating.- Assisting in producing and filing all regulatory compliance reports.- Embedding a compliance culture in the company and its agents' day-to-day activities.
