This position manages sourcing activities across telecom operations, focusing on active and passive maintenance, managed services, and hardware/software level 3 support. The role requires a blend of telecom operations and procurement expertise to ensure effective vendor strategies are established and aligned with overarching sourcing frameworks.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing processes for network telecom operations, including consolidating RFx demand, preparing detailed sourcing events, and translating technical requirements into RFx and scope of work documentation.
- Evaluate supplier proposals based on capability, compliance, and cost-effectiveness, as well as negotiate terms to drive service level enhancements and optimize total cost of ownership.
- Support contract formulation and transition sourcing outcomes into executable supplier agreements, working closely with legal and commercial teams.
- Monitor supplier performance against Service Level Agreements, initiating continuous improvement measures to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Provide market intelligence on vendor ecosystems and pricing trends; contribute insights for agile planning and enhancing sourcing processes.
- Collaborate with network operations teams to align sourcing activities with operational and service delivery goals.
- Leverage ERP systems such as SAP, ARIBA, or Oracle for sourcing and procurement activities, documenting actions, and preparing analytical reports.
- Analyze data and report on sourcing activities, supplier performance, and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
The role encompasses key functions in contracting, tender management, and supporting technical telecom sourcing, demanding proficiency in RFx management, vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, enterprise resource planning systems, and technical knowledge of telecom networks. Day-to-day expectations include engaging various stakeholders, supporting agile process enhancements, and contributing to strategic sourcing initiatives within a multinational or large organizational setting.
We are looking for a results-driven professional with a strong foundation in sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations, specifically within the telecom sector. Experience in telecom is essential; candidates must have no less than three years’ dedicated experience in this fast-paced industry. The ideal profile demonstrates analytical acumen, stakeholder management skills, and the capability to navigate complex contractual landscapes with sound commercial judgement.
- Contracting & Sourcing Expertise:A track record in contract negotiations and relationship management with telecom vendors is essential. The candidate combines attention to detail with the confidence to drive commercially beneficial agreements and ensure supplier compliance.
- Tender & RFx Management:Proficiency in organizing and managing end-to-end tender processes is vital, ideally using advanced tools such as SAP Ariba and other ERP platforms, ensuring transparent and competitive supplier selection.
- Telecom Understanding:Demonstrated hands-on experience with telecom engineering domains and a deep understanding of telecom network requirements are expected, supporting sourcing activities with robust technical insights.
- Technological Savvy:Comfortable operating ERP solutions (SAP, Oracle, SAP Ariba), with the capability to leverage technology to increase efficiency and compliance in purchasing and contracting processes.
- Language & Communication:Outstanding communication skills in English are required, enabling precise documentation, effective negotiation, and the ability to advise internal stakeholders with clarity.
