Our client, an bank company, is looking for a Compliance Officer


The job:

  • You help the business divisions and their management to identify, understand and manage the compliance risks related to the bank's activities
  • In collaboration with other departments, you advise on the implementation of appropriate solutions to control compliance risks
  • You will monitor national and European regulations in the area of compliance
  • You will plan and carry out specific audits.
  • You will formulate proposals for recommendations and monitor their implementation in consultation with the business divisions.

Compliance Manager

PSD2 is compulsory knowledge.- Integrate the principles of compliance into the company's culture and establish guidelines for compliance with regulations.- Monitoring new legislation and regulations and their interpretation in the area of compliance. Keep informed of the latest regulatory evolutions in the countries where the company operates.- Ensuring that the rules defined by the operational departments comply with the legal and/or regulatory rules of integrity and conduct that apply to the institution.- Advising management, operational departments, and business partners on the practical application of the laws, regulations, standards, and codes that fall within its remit, including communicating developments in this area.- Advising on the development of compliance policies and their ongoing updating, as well as measures to control compliance risks.- Participating in deliberations on change requests for products, services, and markets, focusing on the identification, documentation, and assessment of the applicable compliance risks.- Evaluating the company’s compliance procedures, controls, and directives, identifying any shortcomings and proposing changes where necessary.- Developing quality improvement initiatives and initiating organizational changes to ensure compliance with internal rules and business expectations in terms of good governance.- Participating in the drawing up of the compliance action plan, describing in sufficient detail the nature and frequency of the assignments that the compliance function will carry out over a specified period. Compliance officer - MLRO

You will be the designated Compliance Officer/MLRO, and be responsible for implementing the anti-money laundering compliance program, in addition to supervising daily the compliance with relevant laws.You will:Draft and update policies and procedures.Prepare and submit semi-annual reports to the relevant authorities on the effectiveness of internal controls, following the Authority's approved procedures.Audit current processes, identify areas of weakness, and present reports to senior management and the Board of Directors with recommendations for corrective actions.Evaluate new business initiatives, assess associated risks, and provide informed opinions.Review regulatory requirements, assess their impact on operations, and update the compliance monitoring program accordingly.Ensure continuous compliance and work closely with relevant teams to meet reporting obligations.Oversee or perform all functions of an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Officer, including the establishment and monitoring of internal KYC/AML/CFT policies, evaluating internal suspicious activity reports, filing reports with the relevant Financial Intelligence Unit, and providing or organizing AML/CFT training for employees.Maintain up-to-date compliance records, including documents, logs, correspondence, and reports.Stay informed of internal procedures and regulatory changes.Promptly report suspicious transactions, suspicious activity reports, and other required reports in line with federal anti-money laundering legislation.Act as the internal contact for employees to report any suspected or known involvement in money laundering, taking appropriate action upon receiving notifications.Address employee inquiries and provide guidance on compliance matters.Ensure employees receive appropriate training on money laundering, and develop comprehensive training programs and awareness initiatives.Monitor customer communications and review marketing materials.Investigate and assist with resolving client complaints.Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities regarding compliance matters, and respond promptly to requests for information from the Authority or relevant state bodies.
