Job Description

The Government Relations Specialist serves as the primary liaison between the organization and UAE government entities, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and administrative requirements. This role encompasses the complete spectrum of government-related processes, from visa and labor permit management to regulatory coordination and policy implementation. The specialist will work independently and collaboratively to navigate the complex UAE regulatory landscape, maintain critical government relationships, and drive operational efficiency across all government-facing functions. The position requires a proactive professional who can anticipate regulatory changes, provide strategic guidance to internal teams, and represent the organization with professionalism and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of visas, labor permits, and official documentation, ensuring timely renewals and compliance with all regulatory deadlines
  • Coordinate with government authorities and represent the organization in all regulatory matters and official proceedings
  • Monitor and stay updated on UAE laws, policies, localization requirements, and regulatory changes, providing timely advice to internal teams
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes related to government procedures, visas, and administrative requirements
  • Ensure organizational compliance with social security regulations, labor laws, and all administrative processes
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with relevant government entities and officials
  • Identify and drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce administrative burden

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates with a solid foundation in UAE government relations who combine technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with proven experience navigating government procedures, a deep understanding of local regulations, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. We seek someone who is proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance. Bilingual fluency in Arabic and English is essential, as is the ability to communicate complex regulatory information clearly to diverse audiences.

Experience & Expertise Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in UAE government relations or related regulatory functions
  • Strong, demonstrated understanding of UAE local regulations and government procedures
  • Proven experience handling visa and immigration processes
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to manage documentation and deadlines effectively
