We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Accounting to lead an accounting department and ensure the integrity of our financial operations. As the Head of Accounting, you will play a critical role in overseeing all accounting activities, implementing financial controls, and providing leadership to a dedicated team of professionals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP, or other relevant frameworks).
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely reconciliation and reporting.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant financial processes.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management to provide financial insights that drive business decisions and long-term strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international tax regulations, as well as any other relevant statutory requirements.
  • Manage and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance, support, and professional development.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process and timely resolution of issues.
  • Monitor and optimize cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, systems, and controls to support the company’s growth and efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is a plus).
  • Proven experience (minimum 8 years) in accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP). Fiduciary is a big +
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Experience in managing audits and working with external auditors.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
