Company Overview:
A dynamic and fast growing energy group in Saudi Arabia (Dammam) is seeking an experienced Tax & Zakat Manager to join their team. This newly established role is a stand-alone position and requires a hands-on professional with a strong background in cross-border tax, zakat, transfer pricing, and tax compliance.
Job Description & Key Responsibilities:
As the Tax & Zakat Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the tax and zakat operations of the company, working closely with external consultants. This is an operational, hands-on role with a focus on:
- Ensuring overall tax and zakat compliance within the company
- Liaising with relevant authorities and external consultants (BIG4)
- Managing reporting requirements and operational tasks related to taxation
- Prepare Zakat & Tax payments
- Recommend tax strategies that align with business goals and develop the function performance
- Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits
- Complete Tax reports to fulfil legal requirements
Direct Reporting Line: Global CFO
Candidate Criteria:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in tax, ideally with experience in both BIG4 and industry
- Applicants coming from the Oil & Gas, Energy or manufacturing environments would be preferred
- Candidates must already be based in Saudi Arabia (or at least in the GCC and have a previous experience in KSA in Tax & Zakat)
- International exposure is mandatory (cross-border tax)
- Zakat experience is mandatory
