Gentis Recruitment, a leading recruitment firm, is partnering with a renowned company specialized in the development of frozen food products, to find an experienced General Ledger Accountant for their office in Mouscron. Your Responsibilities:

As a GL Accountant, you will play a key role in the financial operations of the company. Your tasks will include:

• Managing and maintaining the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Handling reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany transactions.
• Ensuring proper documentation and compliance with tax regulations (VAT, corporate taxes, etc.).
• Supporting the preparation of financial statements and reports for management.
• Assisting in audits and ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.
• Collaborating with internal teams to improve accounting processes and procedures.

Your Profile:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in General Ledger accounting or a similar role.
• Fluency in Dutch (bilingual level); French is a strong plus.
• A strong command of accounting software and Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is an asset.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• A proactive attitude, team spirit, and the ability to work independently.
