Omschrijving van de functie

Als Account Manager zal je een cruciale rol vervullen in de waterzuiveringssector, gericht op publieke instellingen en communale doelgroepen. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het opbouwen en onderhouden van relaties met klanten zoals Aquafin en andere spelers in de waterzuiverings- en afvalwaterbeheer. Je combineert consultative selling met solution sales, waarbij je eerst luistert naar de technische noden en uitdagingen van klanten om vervolgens passende pompoplossingen aan te bieden. Je bent het gezicht van een wereldwijd A-merk in de pompindustrie en draagt bij aan de groei en marktpositie van het bedrijf in de regio Vlaanderen.

Belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Technische vraagstukken van klanten interpreteren en in begrijpelijke taal vertalen naar praktische pompoplossingen
  • Consultative selling: actief luisteren naar klantbehoeften en problemen voordat oplossingen worden gepresenteerd
  • Bestaande accounts beheren en relaties versterken met publieke instellingen en communale organisaties in Vlaanderen
  • Nieuwe zakelijke kansen identificeren en ontwikkelen in de waterzuiverings- en afvalwatersector
  • Aanbiedingen en offertes voorbereiding op basis van technische specificaties en klanteneisen. Je wordt hier ook mede bij ondersteund door de backoffice
  • Marktinformatie verzamelen en rapporteren over trends in de waterzuiveringsindustrie

Wie ben jij?

We zoeken een ervaren Account Manager met een sterke achtergrond in de pompenindustrie, specifiek gericht op waterzuivering en afvalwaterbeheer. Je bent een gedreven professional die technische complexiteit kan begrijpen en klanten begeleidt naar de juiste oplossingen.

Vereiste ervaring en expertise:

  • Minimaal 3-5 jaar ervaring als Account Manager in de pompenindustrie of verwante technische sectoren
  • Diepgaande kennis van rotating equipment
  • Bewezen ervaring met consultative selling en solution-based sales benadering
  • Sterke vaardigheden in account management en business development
  • Uitstekende technische communicatievaardigheden: het vermogen om complexe technische informatie begrijpelijk over te brengen
  • Ervaring met publieke instellingen, gemeenten of communale organisaties als klanten is een plus
  • Vloeiend Nederlands (moedertaal) en goed Engels
