Job description

Als Teamleider Zeevracht Import stuur je het importteam aan en combineer je operationeel werk met leidinggevende verantwoordelijkheden. Je zorgt samen met jouw team voor een vlekkeloze afhandeling van importzendingen per zeevracht, waarbij je proactief processen optimaliseert en de servicekwaliteit bewaakt.

  • Aansturen, coachen en motiveren van een team van expediteurs
  • Actief meewerken in de dagelijkse operatie en verzorgen van importdossiers
  • Afhandelen van escalaties en onregelmatigheden binnen het importproces
  • Uitvoeren van evaluatie- en selectiegesprekken
  • Zorgdragen voor kwaliteitsborging en continu verbeteren van werkprocessen in samenspraak met interne afdelingen, zoals booking en customer care
  • End-to-end management van zeevracht import, inclusief transportplanning, documentatieafhandeling, coördineren van douaneformaliteiten en aflevering tot de eindbestemming

Je werkt nauw samen met de Import Manager en draagt actief bij aan de verdere ontwikkeling en toekomstbestendigheid van de afdeling.

De functie vereist een uitstekende beheersing van het Nederlands en Engels, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk.

Onze ideale collega beschikt over ten minste vijf jaar ervaring als expediteur zeevracht en heeft reeds stapjes gezet richting leidinggevende verantwoordelijkheden. Flexibiliteit, nauwkeurigheid en proactiviteit zijn voor jou vanzelfsprekend; je houdt het hoofd koel bij escalaties en begeleidt je team met vertrouwen door complexe dossiers.

  • Uitstekende communicatie: Je communiceert vlot en professioneel, zowel in het Nederlands als in het Engels, en weet complexe informatie helder over te brengen aan collega’s en stakeholders.
  • Ervaren in expeditie en import: Je hebt diepgaande kennis van zeevrachtprocessen, importdocumentatie, en douaneformaliteiten. Je bewaakt nauwgezet de kwaliteit en compliance van elke zending.
  • Analytisch en oplossingsgericht: Je spot snel optimalisatiemogelijkheden in processen en pakt onregelmatigheden doortastend aan, steeds met oog voor de klant én het teamresultaat.
  • Sterk in selectie en evaluatie: Je hebt een scherp oog voor talent en weet nieuwe teamleden op een objectieve en professionele manier te selecteren en te evalueren.
  • Teamgerichte mindset: Je voelt je verantwoordelijk voor het collectieve succes en werkt constructief samen met interne afdelingen zoals booking en customer care.
