Job description

Als Forwarding teamlead ben je verantwoordelijk voor de volledige coördinatie en het beheer van de expeditieactiviteiten. Je focus ligt op het plannen en organiseren van logistieke processen, van ontvangst en opslag tot verpakking, verzending en alle bijbehorende douaneformaliteiten.

  • Beheren van logistieke flows en ervoor zorgen dat procedures rond gevaarlijke goederen en temperatuurgevoelige producten strikt worden nageleefd.
  • Opstellen en opvolgen van budgetten, inclusief kostenramingen, prognoses en bewaken van kostenbeheersing binnen de logistieke afdeling.
  • Optreden als escalatiepunt bij operationele uitdagingen en fungeren als mentor bij het begeleiden van collega’s binnen het team.
  • Doorvoeren van structurele procesverbeteringen op basis van eerdere ervaringen en escalatiedossiers.
  • Zorgdragen voor heldere communicatie tussen diverse interne en externe stakeholders om kwalitatieve oplossingen en maximale klantentevredenheid te waarborgen.
  • Implementeren van nieuwigheden zoals nieuwe werkmethodes, trafieken of digitale tools, en hierover duidelijk communiceren naar klanten en teamleden.
  • Commercialiseren van additionele diensten of producten op basis van signalen uit de markt en behoeftes van klanten.
  • Registreren en opvolgen van in-, door- en uitstroom van medewerkers en samenwerken met leidinggevenden en HR bij personeelszaken, onboarding en documentatie.
  • Signaalfunctie richting directie m.b.t. de teamontwikkeling en relevante bedrijfs- of klantinformatie voor optimalisering van besluitvorming.
  • Onderhouden van interdepartementale contacten om wederzijdse belangen te behartigen en samenwerking te optimaliseren.

Binnen deze functie wordt verwacht dat je zelfstandig en accuraat werkt in een energieke omgeving waar de werkzaamheden dagelijks kunnen variëren.

Profile description

Wij zoeken kandidaten die zich thuis voelen in een dynamische logistieke omgeving en uitblinken in het coördineren van complexe expeditieactiviteiten. De ideale persoon is proactief, resultaatgericht en combineert organisatorisch talent met een sterk gevoel voor verantwoordelijkheid. Zij slagen erin onder druk het overzicht te bewaren en zijn gewend om prioriteiten te stellen wanneer geen enkele dag hetzelfde is.

  • Analytisch en planmatig: Kan logistieke processen feilloos organiseren en denkt enkele stappen vooruit. Heeft een scherp oog voor verbetering en optimalisatie, zowel in processen als in budgetbeheer.
  • Regelgevend sterk en compliance-minded: Is vertrouwd met douaneformaliteiten, regelgeving rond gevaarlijke goederen en temperatuurgevoelige producten. Zorgt nauwgezet voor naleving van voorschriften en procedures.
  • Communicatief vaardig: Voelt zich comfortabel in het onderhouden van contacten met uiteenlopende stakeholders en communiceert helder over projecten, veranderingen en verwachtingen. Heeft een natuurlijke flair voor klantgerichtheid en samenwerking tussen afdelingen.
  • Mensenmens met mentorcapaciteiten: Kan als klankbord en begeleider optreden bij probleemsituaties. Beschikt over overtuigingskracht en is in staat draagvlak te creëren bij zowel collega’s als klanten.
  • Commercieel inzicht: Detecteert opportuniteiten en weet nieuwe diensten en producten te vertalen naar klantbehoeften. Spiegelt eenvoudig de belangen van de organisatie aan de wensen van de klant.
  • Flexibel en aanpassingsgericht: Omarmt veranderende omstandigheden en past zich vlot aan nieuwe processen, digitale toepassingen of klantvragen aan.
  • Ervaring en opleiding: Heeft minimaal een bachelordiploma in logistiek of gelijkwaardig door ervaring. Kan terugblikken op minstens 5 jaar relevante expeditie-ervaring. People management vaardigheden zijn een plus, maar geen vereiste.
