Job description

Als Category Team Lead – Metal & Non-Metal Parts ben je eindverantwoordelijk voor een van de meest kritieke aankoopcategorieën. Je leidt twee category buyers én vormt de spil tussen R&D, Operations, Quality, Sales en leveranciers. Je combineert strategie, uitvoering en people leadership, en rapporteert aan de Purchasing Manager.


Wat je doet:

  • Je ontwikkelt een meerjarenstrategie voor de inkoop van metal parts (draaien, frezen, laser- en laswerk, montage, lakken) en non-metal parts (kunststoffen, rubber, composieten). Je implementeert deze strategie met focus op kostenoptimalisatie, risicobeheersing en kwaliteit, en bewaakt budget en TCO/PPV.
  • Je bouwt duurzame leveranciersrelaties op, voert complexe onderhandelingen en sluit langetermijncontracten en SLA’s af. Je doet risicoanalyses en verzekert continuïteit via dual sourcing.
  • Je coacht de Category Buyer Metal Parts en Non-Metal Parts en werkt nauw samen met productie, planning, R&D, engineering en kwaliteit om inkoopnoden af te stemmen op de bedrijfsdoelen.
  • Je volgt markttrends, grondstofprijzen en technologische evoluties op en introduceert innovatieve concepten die waarde creëren. Daarnaast optimaliseer je processen en stimuleer je digitalisering binnen de categorie.


Wie je bent:

  • Je hebt een bachelor of master (bedrijfskunde, engineering, supply chain…) en minstens 8 jaar strategische inkoopervaring, waarvan 2 jaar als Category Manager in een technische of maakomgeving.
  • Ervaring met maakstukken is essentieel; landbouwmechanisatie is een plus. Je kent productieprocessen en kostenstructuren van zowel metal als non-metal parts.
  • Je bent een sterke leider en onderhandelaar, combineert strategie met hands-on aanpak, denkt continu in termen van verbetering en staat open voor verandering. Je communiceert vlot in het Nederlands en Engels en werkt met ERP (bij voorkeur SAP) en digitale inkooptools.
