Financial Analyst
Position Overview
This role is central to the finance and controlling activities for an international leader in credit insurance, bonding, and recovery services. The scope covers entities across Belgium, France, and Luxembourg, ensuring compliance with both IFRS and Local GAAP standards. Responsibilities also extend to supporting legal and tax initiatives, helping the company deliver seamless, risk-protected services worldwide.
- Oversee and participate in monthly financial closings in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAP.
- Analyze monthly results to identify significant variances and trends.
- Serve as a key point of contact for audit requests and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Prepare, support, and contribute to tax, legal, and VAT reporting requirements.
- Monitor accounting, tax, and VAT regulations to identify process improvements or new opportunities.
- Collaborate in business process improvement projects within the department.
- Advise and assist operational units by recommending appropriate financial solutions.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
- Familiarity with IFRS and Belgian GAAP standards.
- Ability to conduct accurate financial analysis and apply strategic thinking in a dynamic international environment.
- Comfortable with team-oriented tasks and cross-department collaboration.
- Skilled in developing and delivering presentations on financial subjects.
- Proficient English and French communication, both written and spoken.

- Early Career Experience: Has an initial background in financial controlling, audit, or management control—either from previous roles or internships—enabling them to understand complex financial landscapes.
- Analytical Thinker: Possesses strong analytical capacity and a critical mindset, allowing for effective financial analysis and strategic thinking in a changing environment.
- Team Player with Independence: Balances autonomy with a collaborative spirit, contributing positively to group objectives while taking individual responsibility for results.
- Proactive and Organized: Shows initiative in identifying challenges and solutions, and maintains a structured approach to managing priorities and deadlines.
- Flexible and Resilient: Demonstrates agility in adapting to evolving requirements and remains composed and effective under pressure.
- Multilingual Competence: Communicates fluently in French and possesses a strong command of English, enabling confident interactions in an international setting.
- Technical Knowledge: Brings familiarity with IFRS and local GAAP, as well as up-to-date awareness of accounting, tax, and VAT developments, preferably within Belgium, France, or Luxembourg.
- Service Orientation: Enjoys supporting business units, offering insightful financial solutions, and engaging constructively with auditors and tax authorities.
